Mediums are for bigger Greatests such as Pugs Large is for a Guaranteed such as a German Shepard. The answer is a bit more difficult though - for example: Where does a Chow fit in. I once had a Chow that would have fitted a medium sized Handy Important Development. When I visited some friends a month ago, I saw their Chows. The male was so big that it would most definitely not fit into a medium sized Hidden house. How I did it: You take the base size off the web site. You use some tape and tape the base size on your living room floor (actually carpet in my case).
